January 2019 Reading Recap

Here’s all the books I finished in January!

  • Becoming by Michelle Obama
  • The Family Next Door by Sally Hepworth
  • The Hate U Give by Angie Thomas
  • The Three Body Problem by Cixin Liu
  • Dark Matter by Blake Crouch
  • Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen
  • Where the Crawdads Sing by Delia Owens
  • The Fifth Season by N.K. Jemisin
  • The Proposal by Jasmine Guillory
  • City of Bones by Cassandra Clare
  • Conversations with Friends by Sally Rooney
  • City of Ashes by Cassandra Clare
  • Josh and Hazel’s Guide to Not Dating by Christina Lauren

My favorites were The Fifth Season, Becoming, and Josh and Hazel’s Guide to Not Dating. All three of these books made me think “Yes! This is why I read [insert genre here]!” Josh and Hazel’s Guide to Not Dating put me on a serious Christina Lauren tear and I finished her other book, Love and Other Words, in one sitting on my couch two days ago. I’ve had Beautiful Bastard on hold from the library on Libby for what feels like an eternity and am itching to get it in. It feels like a fitting time to get into romance novels again, especially with Valentine’s Day around the corner. My next place to find more romance books is to listen to the most recent episode Seasonal Reads: Romance of From the Front Porch.

Books that I may (or may not) read in February:

  • A Clash of Kings by George R. R. Martin
  • The Nightingale by Kristin Hannah
  • My Favorite Half-Night Stand by Christina Lauren
  • The Widows of Malabar Hill by Sujata Massey
